This classic page has been deprecated and is available for a limited time in the "Prior Version" menu in the left navigation menu. The ability to attach files has been distributed based on the associated transaction:
- Attach files to order transactions and order batches from Orders > Find Orders
- Attach files to receipt transactions from Receipts > Find Receipts
- Attach files to assembly transactions from Items > Attach Files to Assembly
The Manage Attached Files page allows you to view, upload, and download files attached to any order, receipt, return, assembly, or batch of orders. This article reviews how to manage attached files via the Admin module.
To access the Manage Attached Files page, you must have the Attach Files feature enabled for your database under Admin > Settings and the following permission assigned to your user role: Administration Module > Manage Attached Files.
To learn about attaching individual files directly from the Find Orders and Find Receipts pages, please see Generating Order Documents and Generating Receipt Documents.
To get started, navigate to Admin > Manage Attached Files.
Under Select Transaction, enter a relevant Transaction # or Batch #, then click Select to enable the Attach section.
Attached files cannot exceed 8 MB in size.
- If you entered a transaction number, all attached files populate at the bottom of the page.
- Select a file name to download the associated file.
- To delete an attached file, click Remove.
- To attach a new file, click Browse, double-click the file on your device, then click Attach. Once attached, the file populates at the bottom of the page and is available on the Find Orders page under Documents > Attach Files.
- If you entered a batch number, all associated transactions populate in the right-hand grid and all files attached at the batch-level populate at the bottom of the page.
- Select a file name to download the associated file.
- To delete an attached file, click Remove.
- To attach a new file to all the associated transactions, click Browse, double-click the file on your device, then click Attach. Once attached, the file populates at the bottom of the page.

If you have customer notifications configured to 'Email Attached Docs', the relevant files are sent as attachments once the relevant event is triggered for the individual transaction or batch of transactions. Note if you're using this functionality, an email address must be listed under both the 'Email Recipients' and 'Export File' columns. |
