This article addresses the most common questions we receive about Inventory Reporting (BETA). If you want to learn more about interacting with Inventory Reporting, please refer to Navigating Inventory Reporting.
When will Inventory Reporting be generally available to customers?
We are currently in our beta phase, meaning we are sharing Inventory Reporting with a select group of customers who have early access to the report and are providing feedback to enhance the product prior to making it available to all customers.
While we continue to enhance the report based on the feedback of our beta participants, our general availability date is delayed until further notice. We will keep you posted on our product launch timeline as soon as we have made all the necessary data quality improvements to Inventory Reporting.
When Inventory Reporting is generally released, will I still have access to the legacy Stock Status Report?
For now, yes—you will still be able to access the legacy Stock Status Report. However, we highly encourage you to utilize the new and improved experience because it is faster and more flexible with customizable reports and filters.
We do plan to eventually disable the legacy report once we receive ample feedback from you that the new report meets your needs, and we will keep you updated once we finalize that transition plan and timeline.
Will I lose access to my custom reports?
No, you will not lose access to your custom report templates. We will roll out the new Inventory Reporting in phases following the timeline above, so you don’t have to worry about losing your custom reports. We will not disable existing custom reports until the new reports can capture your current report data with 100% accuracy.
Why can’t I access Inventory Reporting?
First, check with your administrator to ensure you are authorized to view Inventory Reporting. Users that are assigned the 'warehouseadmin' role can see Inventory Reporting by default under Reports > Interactive Reporting > Inventory. To enable access for other user roles, a warehouseadmin user must grant the following permission from the Manage Roles page: Data Insights Module > Interactive Reporting > Inventory.
If your administrator is assigned the 'warehouseadmin' role and does not see 'Interactive Reporting' as an option in the Reports module, that means Inventory Reporting is not activated for your account. Please reach out to bsevy@3plcentral.com if you're interested in gaining access by joining our Inventory Reporting BETA program.
If your administrator is not assigned the 'warehouseadmin' role, please ask them to contact your Customer Success Manager. All new permissions are automatically granted to the 'warehouseadmin' role, so this user role must be assigned to at least one user in your warehouse to make sure you're getting the most out of 3PL Warehouse Manager.
Can my customers access the new Inventory Reporting?
Yes! You can enable your customers to access Inventory Reporting by adding the associated permission to their user role via the Manage Roles page. This permission is found under Data Insights Module > Interactive Reporting > Inventory. We ask that you please keep in mind that this offering is still in a beta testing phase and there may be gaps and inaccuracies in the data.
Why won’t Inventory Reporting load correctly in my browser?
In order to use Inventory Reporting, you must enable Third-Party Cookies in your web browser.
If you are experiencing a caching issue, you may need to clear your client-side cookies and cached elements to see the latest data. You can do this by performing a hard refresh of your browser via < Ctrl + Shift + R > on your keyboard.
Will you be adding additional data fields?
Yes. We are planning on adding dozens of additional data fields based on existing custom reports and requests made by beta program participants.
I don’t see a way to run a report for a previous date. Will you be supporting that?
Yes. Currently the beta only supports reporting on the current day. After we release current day reporting for general availability, we will be adding full support for backdating or running reports on previous days.
Why does the detailed view have separate rows for SKUs that have identical track-by's?
We will soon release an update that will combine like SKUs in the detailed view, consistent with the legacy Stock Status Report and Manage Inventory grid.
