What is SmartDock?
SmartDock is a dock scheduling utility integrated with 3PL Warehouse Manager that seamlessly synchronizes appointment and shipment data with your warehouse management data.
If I’m currently using AppointmentPlus, can I integrate this with 3PL Warehouse Manager?
In order to integrate with 3PL Warehouse Manager, you must purchase 3PL Central's version of AppointmentPlus (also known as SmartDock). Please reach out to one of our sales representatives at (888) 375-2368 and we would be happy to walk you through this process.
How can I view and manage my appointments with SmartDock?
You can view and manage your appointments from the SmartDock portal. This portal is updated in real time across your organization so any warehouse staff member with a desktop or mobile device can manage appointments.
What are schedule rules?
You can automate scheduling rules by limiting appointments at certain traffic hours. This helps prevent you from overbooking appointments.
Can carriers book their own appointments with my warehouse?
Yes, carriers can register their warehouse with SmartDock so that they can schedule their own appointments, freeing up your customer service representatives and staff’s time.
Do I have to manually refresh my browser to ensure I'm viewing the latest appointment updates?
There is an auto-refresh function that is adjustable by minute increments and automatically set to 5 minutes per our best practice recommendation. If you'd like a higher refresh, please let us know so we can adjust accordingly.
Can I add available appointment times to an email via HTML buttons?
Our emails currently do not support HTML. You can, however, place booking links or 'Book Now' buttons in your personal emails, which link to the carrier scheduling page—e.g., https://booknow.appointment-plus.com/b2rlbl0x/.
Is there a customizable drop-down option for the carrier entry fields?
At this time, we are unable to accommodate custom fields and drop-down options with SmartDock. We have documented this recommendation for enhancement (RFE) and will update you accordingly.
Can I view the edit history of an appointment?
You can generate audit trails for one or more appointments over a given period of time using the Appointment Report functionality, available under the Appointments section in the left pane of your calendar view.
What if a carrier isn't receiving the email notifications I've configured?
Because SmartDock's email provider offers unsubscribing capabilities, customers commonly run into a situation where a carrier will unsubscribe and then ask why they don’t get the notifications anymore. If this happens with one of your carriers, please let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and including the carrier’s email address.
