3PL Warehouse Manager's SmartDock™ is a dock scheduling utility that lets your warehouse users and shipping carriers schedule appointments for pick-ups and drop-offs at your facility, as well as link that transactional data to 3PL Warehouse Manager.
The articles on your left review how to schedule appointments in SmartDock when receiving and shipping inventory and how to link that data to 3PL Warehouse Manager.
Each set of guidelines assumes you have SmartDock enabled on your account and a 3PL Central Professional Services representative has assisted you in configuring your SmartDock portal. If this is not the case, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) to get started.
Below are a few tips on how to read the SmartDock calendar view, configure email notifications, and generate audit trails.
Calendar Color Scheme
The color scheme of your SmartDock calendar view can be configured to your preference, but the primary default status colors are as follows:
- Orange notes an appointment that is not linked to a transaction in 3PL Warehouse Manager.
- Red notes an appointment that attempted to link to 3PL Warehouse Manager and failed.
- Green notes an appointment that has been linked to a receipt in 3PL Warehouse Manager.
- Blue notes an appointment that has been linked to an order in 3PL Warehouse Manager.
To view the complete color scheme, hover over the color menu in the top-right of your calendar.
Email Notifications
You can configure email notification settings for both carrier and warehouse users by navigating to Settings > Notifications in SmartDock.
You can select the name of each notification setting to customize the email and set the status as active or inactive.
Once you make changes to a notification setting, scroll to the bottom and click Update to receive a confirmation message.
Appointment Reports
You can generate audit trails for one or more appointments over a given period of time using the Appointment Report functionality, available under the Appointments section in the left pane of your calendar view.
Selecting Appointment Report opens a new window that gives you full control over what to include in the report. Once you run and/or save the report, it opens in your selected method (HTML in a new browser tab or Excel).
